Extractions
We are a dental office, so we like teeth and will do everything possible to keep your teeth. However, if a tooth is too damaged to be saved then we will extract the tooth. Conditions where we may extract the tooth are: severe tooth decay, teeth that are fractured below the gum line, primary (baby) teeth that are crowding or not falling out properly, or wisdom teeth. When wisdom teeth are impacted, or there is not enough room for them the best treatment is extraction. During an extraction procedure you will be numb in the area, but may still feel pressure. To minimize problems after your extraction, you’ll need to follow our post-op instructions carefully. Following an extraction we will discuss with you options to replace the missing tooth with an implant/ bridge or partial.
